on Porn

, , ,

I feel great! A good day. I dive right in on USHUD.COM and do some awesome work. I have a few BLBs (real estate listings) to complete, and even stay after with Mike till around 7pm. I am powered up. Hope it stays that way for a while. Michael and I talk about porn for a while. What a change from Eric. Mike says he uses porn to remind him to think about sex when he gets home. He says he gets so focussed on the office that he forgets to think about it when he gets home. It keeps him "loving". I think that he is justifying it, but don't say so. I use porn as a substitute. a release. I would love to have an alternitive! I didn't feel a need for porn when I was with Cindy (that has been a long time, friends), but when things started going downhill then it was back. Porn is like an ideal relationship. No demands, no effort, no emotion, just satisfying reward. Then it shuts up and you can hide it under your bed afterwards. Is it any wonder that so many men turn to pornography? But here is the dark side of porn...its not that it exploits women. Get real, those models make a shitload of money. They aren't being explaoited. They are exploiting their bodys themselves. It isn't that it "objectifies" women. Women have always been sex objects to men. Even the women we love are sex objects to men. But (and here is the difference) they aren't JUST sex objects They are companions, confidants, friends, and partners in life. Where porn is evil is that it does not allow us to love those women we use for sex. It denys us the chance to love. It forces us to deal with them on a strictly physical level. Anyone who cannot love a woman without sex cannot love anyone. Anyone who loves only sex loves nothing. Its a parcel that we crave. Sex and companionship. Either one without the other (whether it comes from the same woman or not) is empty. Mike has several woman in his life (and this is the part that kills me) some of them are great companions and some are great lovers. And he still isn't happy. He feels that they all have to be rolled into one. Ah well. Someday I'll tell him what I think.
